Meet Diana
Hi, I’m Diana Betts. I grew up in a small riverside town just outside Portland, Oregon, where I spent my childhood surrounded by thrift-store treasures and the thrill of finding something unexpected tucked into a corner.
After earning a Bachelor’s in Communications at the University of Oregon, I landed my first professional role in the world of retail operations managing a children’s consignment boutique in downtown Portland for several years.
There I learned what it really takes to evaluate gear, look closely at build-quality, tell the difference between good and great, and appreciate the mix of practicality and design that matters to busy families.

From Consignment Owner to Product Reviewer
While I loved that earlier chapter helping families swap and discover trusted items, building community around gently-used gear in 2025 I decided to pivot. I relocated to Asheville, North Carolina, cut back on in-store hours, and launched this blog, TwoLittleMonkeysConsignment.com, with a new focus: honest product reviews and practical buying advice.
Instead of just second-hand gear, I’m now dedicated to sharing my real-world experience with both new and value-priced items, covering everything from strollers and car-seats to kids’ accessories, home-organizing tools and smart lifestyle buys.
What You’ll Find Here
On the blog you’ll find reviews based on hands-on use: things I’ve bought, borrowed, sent back, or kept because they genuinely exceeded expectations. I believe in transparency: you’ll hear what worked, what didn’t, and who I think each product is really for. My goal is to empower you to make smarter choices not overspend, but also not compromise on what matters because I know from experience that durability, safety and ease-of-use matter just as much as price.
Why “Two Little Monkeys”?
The name “Two Little Monkeys” comes from my own household. My twin nephews (yes, the “two little monkeys”) were the inspiration behind all those years of scouting gear swings, high-chairs, play-mats, travel-systems and they taught me that parenting (or being a hands-on aunt!) is full of trial, error and big surprises. That mindset still guides the blog: playful curiosity, grounded experience, and a practical wink to everyday life.
A Bit of the Personal Side
When I’m not testing a new travel system or reorganising our rental cottage’s storage closet, you’ll find me hiking in the Blue Ridge, sipping a strong coffee on a porch with mountain views, or browsing local farmers’ markets for fresh finds. I live in Asheville with my golden-retriever, Mabel, and I try to bring that relaxed, “real-life” lens into everything I review here.
My Promise to You
I promise that every recommendation you read on this site is rooted in actual use and honest opinion. There are no fluff pieces, and no blind endorsements. Whether you’re shopping for a first stroller, upgrading a baby-monitor, or reorganising a toddler’s bedroom, I’ll walk you through what I’ve learned, the trade-offs I’ve seen, and what I’d buy again (and what I wouldn’t). Thanks for stopping by I’m glad you’re here, and I hope you’ll find something helpful, inspiring or even just a little fun.
